E' uno degli esempi più importanti di giardino all'italiana e può essere definito un museo all'aperto sia per l'importanza del suo impianto architettonico che per le numerose presenze scultoree disseminate in tutti i 45.000 mq del parco. La sua costruzione abbraccia quattro secoli di storia fiorentina fra il XV ed il XIX secolo.

It is one of the most important examples of Italian garden and it can be defined as an open air museum for the importance of its architectonic structure and for the numerous sculptures which are scattered in 45.000 square metres of the park. Its construction covers four centuries of Florentine history between the 15th and the 19th century.
